ANNAPOLIS ELITES PISS ON THE CONSTITUTION WHILE WE HOLD THE UMBRELLA Op-ED
Bill Ferguson and Adrienne Jones run Annapolis like a private club. They have a supermajority that lets them ignore every common-sense Marylander. Governor Wes Moore signs whatever trash they put on his desk. These people aren’t leaders–they’re gatekeepers for the elite donor class.
Look at Senate Bill 65. It’s a gold mine for the elite class to earn money and hide it in exploratory committees before a campaign even starts. The Senate passed it 44-0 because they love protecting their own slush funds. This is how the wealthy stay in power while the rest of us struggle to pay for groceries. The media looks the other way while the supermajority builds a wall of cash around their seats.
The state spends $12 million on a Center for Firearm Violence Prevention. They treat your rights like a virus that needs a vaccine. They don’t have a single cent for a Center for Constitution Protection. They want to track every handgun owner with digital fingerprinting and mandatory live-fire drills–but they won’t track how many times they violate their own oaths of office. If they can fund a center to track “violence” then they can fund one to protect our foundation.
It’s time for Patriot AI. We call it America’s Founding Fathers AI. It’s a digital watchdog that compares new laws to the first 100 years of this country’s foundation. It doesn’t care about “the spirit of the law” or your feelings. It uses cold logic to flag unconstitutional garbage like SB 1005. That bill tries to strip zoning power from your neighborhood so the state can force high-density housing on sitting ducks.
Patriot AI would have nuked the recent gun laws in seconds. It would flag the “sensitive places” ban that turns public parks into target zones for criminals. It would kill the law that lets people sue the firearm industry for the actions of criminals. Criminals don’t follow the law–they carry wherever they want. These Annapolis punks just want to make sure the victims stay unarmed.
We need an automatic stay. If Patriot AI flags a bill–it stops. It doesn’t go into effect in October or any other month until a court proves it’s legal. Any lawmaker who votes for a bill that gets struck down gets a fine. That money comes right out of their campaign accounts. It doesn’t go to the state. It goes to the victims and activists who spent their own cash fighting these assholes in court. Stop the ego and start protecting the foundation.
